24 in 48 Read-a-Thon: Start Me Up!
It's time to get started! The 24 in 48 Read-a-Thon has arrived! I kind of slipped up a smidge, thinking that I was getting started at 12:01 a.m. Saturday my time. Nope. Started 12:01 a.m. EST. So...we're really already almost an hour in.
I'm wrapping up an episode of Grey's Anatomy on Netflix and then I'm jumping in. And then when my clock strikes midnight, I'll start counting my stats towards the Beat Your Best Read-a-Thon. Boom!
I'll be hanging out on Twitter and Instagram during the weekend and I'll be posting updates every 8 hours over here.
Now...before I get rolling on the reading...how about an opening meme?
1. What part of the world are you reading from this weekend?
I'm an Idaho girl, born and raised. I'll be camping out in the house, avoiding the mess that is the snow-covered world outside my door.
2. What book are you most looking forward to reading?
I don't know. For the first time ever, I'm entering a read-a-thon with no plan. I'm flying by the seat of my pants. Whee! For right now, I'm reading Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell.
3. Are you planning on reading someplace besides your house or apartment this weekend?
Nope. Not really. I'm supposed to go to dinner tomorrow night with the hubs and our best friends, so their may be some reading in the car, but that's really the only excursion I have planned.
4. Tell us something about yourself!
I love all things crafty and I love to read -- hence the reason I've thrown myself into far too many read-a-thons this year! :)
5. If you've done this read-a-thon before, do you have any tips for other readers? If you haven't, is there anything you're nervous about?
This is my first time going for this one. I'm not nervous actually, I'm excited!
Now...let's get down to business!!!

I just started when I was ready, my time. I couldn't be bothered to start faffing about working it out exactly, especially for a weekend-long readathon, haha! You're very dedicated. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a lot easier for me than it is for you. I'm only off by 2 hours. You vary thanks to the fact that we use stupid Daylight Savings over here in the states. I totally understand going by your own time table. I think it was very smart of you.
