Monthly Motif Reading Challenge


2020 is my second year participating in Monthly Motif Reading Challenge from GirlXOXO

This is an annual challenge running from January 1st to December 31st. Each month is assigned a motif or theme. The goal is to read one book per month that will fit those themes. I fully completed the challenge back in 2019 and found it quite fun, so here we go again!

JUNE - Name or Number (A name or number as part of the title)

JULY - Around or Out of this World (A country other than the one you live in or space)

AUGUST - Creature Feature (A creature on the cover or in the story, mythical or real)

SEPTEMBER - When Text Just Isn't Enough (Includes a map, illustration, or documents)

OCTOBER - Thrills and Chills

NOVEMBER - Dynamic Duos (A couple of characters that make the perfect pair)

DECEMBER - Sugar, Spice, Everything Nice (Holiday/winter themed, love story/romance, or comedy)

MAY - One Sitting Read (Something short enough to finish in one sitting.)
JUNE - Diversify Your Reading (Read a book with a character or author of a diferent race, religion, or sexual orientation from your own or read about another culture.)

JULY - Through the Years (A book involving time travel, with a 'time' setting, or a book published in your birth year.)
AUGUST - Mode of Transportation (Transportation must play a role in the story.)
SEPTEMBER - Animal, Number, Color, Name (One item must be in the title.)
OCTOBER - Tricks & Trades (Set in a theatre, amusement park, or circus, or a book involving magic, illusions, or characters with special powers.)
NOVEMBER - Seasons, Elements & Weather (Season or weather must play a key role or be part of the title.)
DECEMBER - Last Chance (Finally read a book that you've been meaning to get to all year long.)
