Darn the Buttons...

Ok...I've been kind of a crappy blog host lately. But I SO have a good excuse. I am currently up to my eyeballs in fabric. I have been crafting non-stop all week and I've managed to bust out another handful of presents. (I've been doing so much that I was actually knitting in the truck today in between stores to finish up our Christmas shopping for Darian.) I'm still going to be pushing it to the wire, but here's where the Christmas Project Countdown now stands...

Last night, I ran into a small snag when I couldn't find the gray buttons that I needed for a few of the projects. I literally have hundreds of buttons in multiple colors in the scrapbook room, but apparently not a single gray one. So sad.

I picked up the elusive gray buttons this evening, so the finished project count now stands at 33. (If you count the prototypes I made for two of the projects, I've actually made 35...) That leaves 7 gifts to finish in 8 days.

The goal for this weekend is to finish a minimum of four of the remaining seven projects (I'm not-so-secretly hoping that it will actually be five).

The upside to all of this craziness is that I will have a nice pile of homemade gifts when I'm done and I'll have product for at least nine blog posts after the holidays. Yay! Lots of new things to learn. I've been pretty pleased by the way things have turned out so far. I am nervous about one gift so it's been pushed off to the end of the pile for now...it's going to take some skill. Hopefully I'll be able to get it started on Sunday if all goes well.

Now, time to finish this up and get back to cutting squares and watching Gilmore Girls. I've got at least another two hours in me tonight...
