FrightFall: Saturday Update

Holy crap, I'm tired. I originally wasn't planning on posting this update for another hour and a half, but I'm honestly afraid that I'll fall asleep before then.

This is why I'm tired...

That there is a total of about five years of unending energy. He's a one and a half, she's almost four. Holy crud...four. I'm getting old. But, I'm lucky enough to be their aunt. I spent the morning with them while their mom (my sister-in-law) ran a race and my brother (their dad) cheered her on.

We watched a couple of movies (kind of), played with some dinosaurs, made more than a few giant messes, cleaned up said messes, built with blocks, knocked over blocks, and generally just played hard. They're fun, but I am apparently no longer up to snuff. After four hours, I was beat. I've been dragging can all day since I left their house.

I came home after a couple of errands and parked it on the couch. I watched a few episodes of Gilmore Girls and goofed around on my iPad. After dinner, I started doing some reading, but I'm finding that I'm dozing a little more than I should be. So...early post.

It's just me today since Darian's done with his participation in the read-a-thon, so let's get my numbers officially recorded.

Elle's Current Stats

Okay. I'm really liking this. I don't know why it took me so long to finally get around to reading it, but I'm very much enjoying it. It's like Clockwork Angel meets Narnia meets something else totally awesome. It keeps up and we might have a five-star read on our hands.

Minutes Read Friday/Saturday : 222 minutes (Any additional minutes read tonight will be counted tomorrow.)

Total Time Read : 633 minutes

Goal: 900 minutes

Pages Read Friday/Saturday : 207 pages (Same goes for pages.)

Total Pages Read: 624 pages

Goal: 900 pages

Books Finished Friday/Saturday : 0

Total Books Finished: 2

Goal: 4 books

I'm not sure how much reading I'll get done tomorrow. To be honest, I may not make it to any of my goals. I have some bread to bake and some peppers to slice and freeze. I got a sweet, sweet deal from a local farm store today and brought myself home a big batch of bells.

But...even if I don't make goal...well, I'm good. It's been a great week for reading and I think I've held true to the point of this read-a-thon. I've enjoyed my reading time. It hasn't felt obligatory. I haven't felt like I'm chasing the goal. I'm just reading some good books in times when I feel like reading. Regardless of the numbers that come out of this one, I'm calling it a success.

I'll be back tomorrow night with a wrap up! Until then...

Happy reading!!
